Honeydew Melon Sorbet

Updated: Mar 14, 2023

Honeydew Melon Sorbet 3 ingredients

This healthy honeydew melon sorbet is quite simple to make, it only takes three ingredients, and is the perfect light and refreshing dessert. You will just need a food processor and a freezer!

Cut up and freeze your honeydew melon. Then measure out your other ingredients. You may need to add more water as you blend.

Add your frozen honeydew, honey, lime juice, and water to a food processor.

A food processor is best for this because you want to add as little water to it as possible. However you may still have a few chunks, but that is okay. Just blend until it as smooth as you can get it before it starts melting.

Add to a plastic container with a lid and freeze for 3-4 hours or until just hardened enough to scoop.

If it freezes too hard, let it sit on the counter to soften before serving. Scoop and serve!

Ingredients

[Serves about 6]

5 cups frozen honeydew melon chunks

2 Tbsp honey

1 Tbsp lime juice

1/4-1/2 cup water (start with 1/4 and add as needed)

Directions

  1. Start by cutting up your melon and placing the chunks on a parchment paper covered baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 2-3 hours or until the chunks are frozen.

  2. Add your melon, honey, lime juice, and 1/4 cup water to a food processor. Blend until smooth. You may need to add additional water in order to get it to blend, however a few chunks is okay because you don't want it to start melting.

  3. Now add the sorbet to a plastic container with a lid and place in the freezer. Let it freeze for about 3-4 hours or until it is just set up.

  4. It can freeze pretty hard, in that case you may just need to set it on the counter to soften for about 30 minutes or so.

  5. Dish up and enjoy!
